Managing a fleet isn’t just about tracking dots on a map. It’s about knowing what’s happening — and reacting before minor issues become big problems. That’s why we rebuilt and expanded the Fleet Chaser Events System. With a cleaner interface and more flexible rules, Events is open to every Fleet Chaser customer.
Here’s what’s new, and why it matters.
Fast Access, Simple Setup
You’ll now find the Events section right in your main menu. Instantly see all your active events, what they monitor, and whether they’re enabled or paused. Creating a new rule is just a few clicks.

Two Powerful Event Types
1. Vehicle Events
Monitor everything from speed and geofencing to vehicle state. Configure business-critical rules such as:
- Speeding Alerts: Instantly notify a dispatcher if any delivery van exceeds 70 mph for more than 2 minutes(or other settings that you set), reducing accident risks and improving compliance.
- Geofence Entry/Exit: Get an alert if a truck enters a area (e.g., construction zone, customer facility).
- Idling & Movement States: Track when vehicles are idling too long at job sites — a valuable KPI for field service companies to reduce wasted fuel and labor costs.

2. Employee Events
Stay on top of productivity and compliance:
- Work Hours Notifications: Automatically notify managers if a driver or technician logs more than 10 hours daily, supporting labor law compliance and reducing overtime costs.

Flexible Schedules
Need rules active only during business hours? Or 24/7 monitoring?
Now, you can schedule events to match your company’s workflow—for example, monitor idling only during daytime shifts or set after-hours alerts for security-sensitive assets.

Practical Use Cases
- Logistics & Delivery: Alert operations if a driver deviates from the planned route or makes unscheduled stops, so you can address issues before they escalate.
- Field Service: You will be notified if a technician’s vehicle has been idling at a client’s location for over 15 minutes, flagging potential delays or inefficiencies.
- Corporate Fleets: Monitor for unauthorized after-hours vehicle usage, protecting company assets and reducing liability.
- Construction: Receive instant alerts when equipment enters/exits restricted job zones, improving jobsite safety and compliance.
This Is Just the Beginning
Our goal is to keep expanding Events to cover even more business scenarios. Soon, you’ll see:
- Hardware failure alerts (e.g., if a tracker or dashcam goes offline)
- Fuel consumption monitoring
- Route deviation detection
- …and much more.
We’re always listening to your feedback and ready to build what your business needs.
