Fleet Chaser Release Notes — September 7, 2026: A New Employee App, and Vehicle Checks on Forms

Vehicle checks now run on Forms, and the Employee App arrives with an all-new navigation.

Console (Web)

Form Submission on every vehicle — A vehicle's Check tab is now Form Submission and lists every check filed for it, who filed it and when, with your past checks moved across so nothing is lost.
Pre Trip and Post Trip — Vehicle checks use standard trip wording instead of Pre Check and Post Check; on equipment they read Check Out and Check In.

Trip distance is accurate on more trackers — Trackers that report their odometer in bursts used to produce short trips, and distances now match the trip history.
QR stickers are easier to manage — Look a sticker up by its code to see what it is on, or that it is unused. Lowercase letters and stray spaces no longer stop a code being found, and a retired sticker no longer points at its old vehicle.
Alert rules clean themselves up — A rule pointing at a deleted vehicle group drops that filter, and a rule left with no filters is marked Invalid instead of quietly matching nothing, so it is worth a quick look at yours.
Safer deletes, clearer camera settings — Deleting a vehicle group that still has vehicles in it asks first, and a camera value that would be rejected is refused when you save, with a message naming the wrong field.

Tasks — Moving a task to Done closes it for the whole crew, and old completed tasks no longer turn up on later timesheets.
Employees — The Groups tab on an employee opens without erroring.
Maps — Maps draw correctly on Android devices again.

Rolling out now through the App Store and Google Play — update when prompted.

An all-new navigation — The bottom bar is down to Home, Work and Chats with Scan on its own button beside them, every label stays visible, Tasks is now Work, and Chats carries your unread count.
Home is built around the shift — Quick actions to add a work note or open your forms, today's work as a row of cards you can swipe, and three cards that read out their own state: the running clock, how many tasks have been started, and the vehicle you checked in on. Anything live turns green.
The menu holds what you have running — It opens on today's date and the company you are working for, then lists only live work: the timer, the tasks you have started and the vehicles you have out, so you can tap one and go straight to its closing form.
Scan from anywhere — The Scan button opens the camera on any screen, finds the vehicle or the tool behind the sticker and offers the forms that apply to it, with a sound and a buzz to confirm.

Checks are forms now — Pick the form for the vehicle in front of you and what you fill in shows up on that vehicle in the Console, and a question can ask for a code you scan instead of typing. The post trip only appears for whoever has the vehicle out, and anyone can still start a pre trip.
