Release Notes

Stay up to date with the newest updates and improvements in FleetChaser.

Locations moves to a new map-first view, and forms can now pick records, take videos and set limits on numbers.

Console (Web)

✨ New

  • Locations, rebuilt around the map — The list sits beside a full-height map with Type and Group filters on it, and a location opens in its own panel with Details, Vehicles and History; types and the new location groups now live in Location Settings.
  • Site plans and files on a location — Attach any file to a location; a KML or KMZ site plan draws on the location's map in its own colors, with layer groups you can hide or show, and when you create or edit the location, the plan or any group can become its boundary.
  • See who has each vehicle — The Driver card, the vehicle lists, the map and History now show the driver checked in with a pre-trip, where the lists and the map used to show the Drivers tab schedule; the card, the map and History also flag a vehicle driving with nobody checked in.
  • Forms pick records and take videos — Four new answer types let your crew pick a company, contact, product or location from your account, one or several at a time, and a Photo / Video question can ask for photos, videos or both; crews need the latest Employee App.
  • Bigger multiple-choice questions — A question can take several answers and up to 500 options, imported from a CSV and searchable, with any option marked Failed.
  • Limits on a number — A Number question can fail below or above a value, such as a tire pressure, so a reading past the limit counts as an issue and can require a photo, a note or both.
  • See the form as your crew will — On a large screen, a phone preview beside the questions shows the form as the Employee App will and follows along as you edit.
  • A submission on its own page — A submission opened from a form now fills its own page, under the employee's photo and name, where you can export it as CSV or JSON or delete it.

⚡ Improvements

  • Exports include the answers — Export a form's submissions for any period as CSV, one row per question, or as JSON; Export now sits on each form instead of on the Form Submissions page.
  • Documents, many files at once — Ctrl-, Cmd- or Shift-click documents, or drag a box around them, to move, download, share or delete them together, right-click for actions, drag them onto a folder and open View details; PDFs open in full, and colleagues' changes appear without a reload.
  • Paste keeps its formatting — Text pasted into a chat message or a note keeps its line breaks, bold, lists and links, without the source's colors and fonts.
  • Drawing a boundary — The map keeps panning and zooming while you draw, and a right-click on a point, or a long press on touch, opens Delete point to remove a misplaced one.
  • Visits on the location's map — On a location's Vehicles tab, open a vehicle and its route inside the location now draws on the same map, visit by visit, instead of in a full-screen window.
  • Assets map, same view as Locations — The Map view fills the page, with the list beside it and the filters on the map.
  • Breadcrumbs, and filters instead of tabs — A form, a submission or an asset opens with breadcrumbs instead of a Back To List button, the Forms list swaps its type tabs for a Form Type filter, with drafts under Status, and filter buttons show what you picked.

🐞 Fixes

  • Locations — A circle converted to a polygon now stays a polygon after you save it.
  • Vehicle hover card — The vehicle's photo and name no longer overlap the road-camera preview.
