Fleet Chaser Release Notes — September 14, 2026: Assets, and a Rebuilt Chat in the Employee App

Assets — A new section for everything you own that is not a vehicle. Put a QR sticker on a piece of equipment and every scan records where it was last seen, so its location keeps itself up to date as a by-product of work your crew is doing anyway. View the list as cards, as a table, or on a map.
Forms for your equipment — Point a form at Assets as well as vehicles, choose which asset groups it applies to, and the item it was filled in against shows on the submission, in the Submissions list and in the CSV you export.
Addresses on stops and idles — Select a stop or an idle on a vehicle's history and the card names the address it happened at, under the time spent there.

Click a stopped period on the day timeline — Stops are selectable alongside driving, idling and towed, so you can open any part of the day and read its details.
Filters stay where you put them — Open a submission from a list and come back and your search, filter and sort are still set; they still clear when you move to a different vehicle, asset or form.
Stepping through submissions keeps going — The next arrow used to stop at the end of the first page and now carries on to the last one.
Form submissions on a phone — A vehicle's Form Submission tab puts search, filter and sort in a bar at the bottom of the screen, and the cards fit the width instead of running off the edge.
Adding a photo on Android — Tapping Add photo asks whether to take one or pick from your gallery, instead of going straight to the gallery with no way to use the camera.

Time Approval — The number of forms each person filed during a shift appears again.
Vehicles — Filters set on the vehicle list no longer follow you to the map, and the Drivers tab is headed Drivers instead of Vehicles.
Events — Setting a speed limit tells you what is wrong with the value, instead of only outlining the box in red.
Small polish — News items show their picture when no separate preview image was set, required fields are marked with one asterisk instead of two, the floating Search, Filter and Sort bar on a phone no longer sits on top of the side menu, and a submission link that no longer works says so instead of spinning forever.

Rolling out now through the App Store and Google Play — update when prompted.

Chat, rebuilt — The chats screen opens on All, Channels and Direct tabs you can swipe between, with a search box to find a conversation by name, and each row shows the last message, when it arrived and how many are unread. Press and hold a conversation for its details, to mute or pin it, or to leave a channel.
A new way to attach — The attachment sheet has your photo roll with albums, a camera tile that shoots a photo or records a video without leaving the app, and a Files tab for recent documents. Pick several at once and they show as thumbnails in the box before you send.
My assets on the home screen — It shows the equipment that crew member has signed out, and tapping an item opens its check-in or check-out form without walking back to the yard to scan again. My vehicles and My assets each keep a usage history you can narrow to a date range.
The running shift timer follows you — While the clock is going the time shows in the top bar on every screen, and tapping it jumps straight to the time tracker.

The Time Tracker card — The start and stop button sits on the card itself, it reads either how long the shift has been running or the date of the last one, and it turns red while the clock is going.
Scanned equipment is named — Point the phone at an asset's sticker and the app shows which item it is, with its photo, before anything is filled in.
My vehicles — Rebuilt with the same cards as assets, placeholder cards while it loads, pull to refresh, and older entries loading as you scroll.

Chat — Leaving a channel removes it from the list straight away and channels you are not in no longer appear, the connection stays alive in the background so messages stop arriving late or out of order, and the last-message line no longer flickers or falls back to an older message.
Chat, continued — A colleague who has just joined shows with their name and photo instead of as an unknown contact, signing out clears the previous person's chats on a shared phone, and on iPhone the message sound stays quiet when the ringer switch is set to silent.
Small polish — Signing in lands on the home screen instead of dropping straight into the time tracker, and the scanner closes cleanly after a scan and takes the crew member to what they scanned.
