Console (Web)

✨ New

  • Add a vehicle in one step — Create New Vehicle needs only an identifier, a type and a group, so a truck goes in before its tracker, and a vehicle without one keeps the odometer and engine hours you type; photos now live in the form instead of a Photos tab.
  • A Hardware tab on every vehicle — Add a tracker or a Fleet Chaser camera by its serial number, typed or scanned on a phone, then swap or unassign it from its own card.
  • Check a driver out from the office — From the Driver card, check out the current driver at the date and time you choose; a driver checked in for 24 hours or more is flagged, and a driver assigned to another vehicle can be moved over in one step.
  • Events, rebuilt — The list gets the same layout as Forms and Documents: search, filter by type, status and last trigger, sort, and switch between cards and a table on a large screen; each event opens on its own page with its details, recipients, conditions and history.
  • Every answer in one table — A form's Submissions tab shows a row per submission and a column per question, and a question keeps its column across versions of the form while its wording stays the same; Form Submissions filters by Form Type, now including Check in and Check out.
  • Voice messages in Chat — Record, play back and send a voice message of up to 10 minutes; it plays with a waveform at 1×, 1.5× or 2× speed.

⚡ Improvements

  • Locations, easier to start and filter — Start a location by drawing it or by importing a KML or KMZ plan and picking Convert to boundary, set its group in the same form, and filter the map by several types at once or by Activity, meaning vehicles inside right now.
  • Find a chat faster — Search chats, keep unread ones on top with Unread first, and switch back to recent channels without a reload; in a long channel, Jump to latest brings you back from deep history.
  • Office files and audio in the viewer — Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CSV files added from now on open as a readable PDF wherever you open a file, and audio files play with a waveform.
  • Asset pages and submissions — An asset's page shows its type, serial number and last update, the Assets list keeps your search and filters when you come back, and a submission opened from an asset fills its own page, with Export and Delete.
  • Engine icon for any active code — Vehicle lists show the engine icon with the code count whenever a vehicle has active trouble codes, in gray while the check-engine lamp is off, instead of only when the lamp is lit.
  • A cleaner, more consistent Console — The sidebar, menus, dialogs and standard controls share one refreshed design; on tablets, the lists in Forms, Assets, Documents, Events and Cameras get a toolbar with search, filters and sort, larger dialogs open full screen on phones, and a click outside an open menu now only closes it.
  • A faster Console — Pages load less code up front and redraw less, the News panel loads in one go and scrolls without stuttering, and big downloads start straight away in your browser's download bar.

🐞 Fixes

  • Time Clocks — Sessions and daily totals are split at the employee's own midnight instead of UTC, so evening shifts no longer spill into the next day.
  • Cameras — Live view and playback say when a camera never sends video, with Retry, instead of spinning or showing a general error.
  • Maintenance Report — The CSV now also lists the active alerts shown in the report, not only those completed or closed in the period, and a group with a vehicle archived before the period loads instead of failing.
  • Advanced search — Results follow each person's access, so vehicles outside their groups and colleagues' draft tasks no longer show up, and only admins find notes on other people's time clock sessions.
  • Small polish — A vehicle group whose vehicles were all deleted can now be deleted; the date pickers on a vehicle's History, camera playback and shared links mark activity on the right days after a daylight-saving change; card views of Forms and Assets keep loading on large monitors; switching company opens that company's map.
