Imagine it’s a Monday morning, and your fleet of 100 construction vehicles is ready to hit the road. You’ve got a bunch of active job orders, and one of them is pretty critical: your concrete mixer truck needs to be at a construction site by 8 a.m. sharp.

A well-constructed fleet management strategy is the backbone of profitability and efficiency of any fleet business. Adequate management not only reduces delays by reinforcing organization but also prevents downtime, cutting costs and increasing potential revenue as a result, and ensures your assets are always in top condition.

Permissions decide who on your team can see and do what. Admins can do everything; everyone else gets access through groups you build, so each role gets exactly what it needs and nothing more. Here is how to set it up in the Console under Employees.

What does it take to develop a fleet management budget that will support you on the way to your business goals? Most "fleet management software" was built for long-haul trucking or service vehicles — construction is the asset-mixed reality in between, and most vendors treat it as an afterthought. Here are the four capabilities that actually matter for a construction fleet, starting with dispatch, plus an honest vendor-by-vendor look at how Samsara, Motive, Fleetio, Verizon Connect, Tenna, and Fleet Chaser handle each.

New Fleet Chaser Cameras experience: faster Playback, recording history by day, and Request video to save clips to Saved media for reliable downloads and proof storage.

Scrub a whole day on a timeline of thumbnails, jump anywhere without the video starting over, cut the minutes you need into a clip you can download — and finally get a straight answer when a camera won't show you live video.

We’re excited to announce that Fleet Chaser will be at the Charlotte Build Expo 2024 on December 11-12 at the Charlotte Convention Center. This is your chance to connect with us in person and learn how we’re helping SMBs in the construction industry take control of their fleet operations.
